The polygon pattern, formed by two equilateral triangles, echoes the iconic "Gherkin" of modern London. 30 St Mary Axe, designed by renowned architect Norman Foster, is often playfully referred to as the Gherkin or the Spaceship due to its unique rounded form. The polygon-patterned structure of its glass curtain wall exudes a futuristic, avant-garde feel. Simultaneously, the polygon pattern evokes the timeless elegance of Chanel's classic quilted handbags.

"Béton brut architecture" refers to concrete poured in a single pour, directly from the mold, without any subsequent finishing or coating. The final product showcases the raw beauty of the material and craftsmanship, simple yet majestic.

22STUDIO meticulously crafts everyday luxuries using béton brut techniques, transforming pens, stationery, wristwatches, and desk clocks into miniature béton brut architectural forms that can be held, worn, or displayed. They are the culmination of exquisite craftsmanship and innovative thinking.

Proprietary Concrete Curing Process

What is "cured concrete"? Freshly cast concrete lacks sufficient strength and requires a "curing" process: continuous hydration to facilitate the "hydration reaction" between water and cement, achieving the desired strength. However, this hydration process often results in white watermarks and cracks.

Through continuous research and refinement, 22STUDIO has developed a curing process that achieves both high hardness and aesthetic standards. Our freshly molded concrete is allowed to rest for 14 days, similar to the "aging" process of beef or red wine, reaching maximum structural strength and developing unique natural textures.

316L Stainless Steel & SCHMIDT® Technology Components

Concrete and stainless steel form a sleek and assertive partnership. 316L stainless steel, the highest-rated safety material, is highly corrosion-resistant and hypoallergenic. For the Polygon Series, we have developed new metal components, with all exterior parts made from 316L medical-grade stainless steel, precision-machined to 0.01mm by a CNC lathe factory in Sanchong District, New Taipei City.

All 22STUDIO writing tools utilize SCHMIDT® Technology components, the highest quality available on the market. For the fountain pen nib, we use the SCHMIDT® FH241, with a 7mm width, available in Medium (M) and Fine (F) sizes.

For the rollerball pen, we selected the SCHMIDT® Capless System, offering the smooth writing experience of a water-based rollerball without the risk of ink drying when the cap is left off. Its compact size allows us to maintain the pocket-friendly dimensions of the Polygon Series rollerball, making it a favorite SCHMIDT® product.

Exclusive Polygon-Patterned Pen Rest, Engraved with the Owner's Name
